Apollon is the the northern village of the island.
A lovely fishing boat port is situated on a bay sheltered by high mountains.
The hills around were marble quarries in antiquity.
In the village is the huge Kouros statue (10.50 metres long) which supposed to represent either God Apollon or Dionysos.
